MATILDA CHILESHE KAOMA, the Managing Partner is a holder of the Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and pursuing a Master of Laws from the University of South Wales. She is a Legal Practitioner of Fourteen (14) years standing having practiced with KMG Chisanga Advocates during the entire period. In addition to her day-to-day practice, she is responsible for management and administration of the Firm. Ms. Kaoma is an active member of LAZ from 2012 when she joined the Legal Aid Committee. In 2014 she joined the HIV/AIDS Committee and served as Secretary of these two Committees from 2014 to 2017. She currently serves as the Honorary Secretary of LAZ. Additionally, Ms. Kaoma serves on the Survey Control Board having been appointed by the Minister of Lands in May 2017. She sits on the Board of the Patricia Jere Cancer Foundation, a non-profit based organization whose vision is comprehensive cancer care for all. She also sits on the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zambia Risk and Audit Committee and which tenure comes to an end in 2024. She also sits on the Risk and Audit Committee of the Ministry of Health and is the current Vice-Chairperson of the Lands Tribunal in Zambia. She has depth and experience in the vast areas of legal practice which include but are not limited to Civil Litigation, Commercial Dispute Resolutions, Company Law disputes, Family Law disputes, Labour and Employment disputes, Land matters and Conveyancing.
